Return To School – January 2021

For the majority of our children the school holidays will be extended until Monday 11th January 2021, with remote learning taking place between Monday 11th January and Friday 15th January 2021 (information to follow from your child’s key worker/ class teacher in the new year). It is hoped that we will have a full return to school buildings from Monday 18th January 2021, but we will be guided by the National and Local guidance.

As per the Scottish Government guidance, we will be open for the children of key workers and those children that the guidance identify as vulnerable between the 6th and 8th of January for childcare, and between the 11th-15th January to supervise the remote learning that has been set by class teachers. The phases are explained in more detail in the letter.

To support our planning for return in January 2021, those families who are considered key workers (using the three categories in the letter) are asked to complete the Google form that was shared on SeeSaw by Monday 4th January 2021 if they are requiring key worker childcare in January 2021. This will need to be completed for each child that you are looking to attend Cawdor between the 6th-8th and 11th-15th of January. If you are a key worker and have completed the form, we will see your child at the usual time on the first date you identify that you require key worker childcare.

The letter for families details the categories for the children of key workers. If you are unsure if you are a key worker, you can contact Your child’s key worker in nursery or their class teacher will be in touch via SeeSaw by Friday 8th January 2021 to confirm the arrangements for remote learning between the 11th and 15th of January 2021.
