Learning at Home – Homework in Cawdor: P1-P7 (May 2023)
An action from our Quality Improvement Questionnaire in January 2023 was to review our approaches to homework. Last term we sought your feedback on our approaches to learning at home. Together as a teaching team we reviewed your feedback and shared a draft approach to Learning at Home – Homework with family members on the Parent Council to get their reflections and suggestions.
Below is our approach to Learning at Home – Homework in Cawdor for the remainder of the 2022/2023 session. This will begin on Friday 19th May 2023 which we will trial until the 16th of June. We will then seek feedback and make any adjustments ahead of the new session in August.
Our approach is based on three principles:
- Homework is focused on fluency.
- Homework is optional.
- Homework can be planned for within a family’s schedule.
Homework will be shared via SeeSaw and any materials will come home via your child’s school bag.
