Scottish Child Payment

Scottish Child Payment has been extended to include eligible children under the age of 16, as well as the age range increasing Social Security Scotland have also increased the payment to £25.00 per week, per child (no cap on the number of children the payment can be made for).  The attached factsheet provides information on Scottish Child Payment, including frequently asked questions that you may find helpful.  

The quickest way to apply for Scottish Child Payment is online at https://bit.ly/SocialSecurityScotlandScottishChildPayment but people can also apply by phone, by post or in person.   People do not need to reapply if they are already receiving Scottish Child Payment for a child under 6.  If you have older children you can add them to your existing Scottish Child Payment award using Social Security Scotland’s change to circumstances form: https://bit.ly/SocialSecurityScotlandChangeToCircumstances
