Hello everybody,
We have made it to the long weekend! The last couple of weeks seem to have disappeared, taken over by the excitement of the snow and ice. This has meant that we have arrived at the mid-term break. As shared last week, we are closed on Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th of February for our mid-term holiday, and Wednesday 17th February for our inset day. There will be no remote learning on these three days.
On Thursday 18th and Friday 19th February 2021, our early years practitioners (EYPs) and class teachers will be sharing ‘digital detox’ themed learning experiences. The last five weeks we have spent a substantial amount of time on screen based learning. These two days will be predominantly non-screen based learning experiences that will encourage to apply the skills that they have been developing outdoors and indoors. EYPs and class teachers will offer well-being themed Google Meets on our two-days if children would like to connect.
At the end of next week we will share the plans for the week beginning 22nd February 2021, once we have received and processed national and local guidance.
As we go into our holiday weekend, a huge thank you to our children, families and staff in the Team Cawdor community for the brilliant response to remote learning. Flexibility, resilience and perseverance are skills that children and adults are demonstrating in abundance – all vital for learning in our ever-changing world.
